What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a popular short-term orthodontic treatment used to fix a variety of dental issues. Treatment with Invisalign uses a progressive series of comfortable plastic aligners that are virtually invisible and gentler on your mouth than metal braces.
One of the crucial advantages of Invisalign is that the aligners are completely removable, so you can continue to eat and drink your favorite foods during treatment. And since the aligners are removable, Invisalign treatment makes it easy to maintain proper oral hygiene.
We use state-of-the-art 3-D computer imaging technology to customize your Invisalign clear braces. This allows you to see a virtual preview of how great your teeth will look when treatment is finished.
Once we map out your treatment, you will receive several sets of customized clear aligners. We’ll instruct you to wear each for at least 22 hours a day for about two weeks. At the end of two weeks, you’ll move to the next set of aligners. As you progress through treatment, you’ll actually be able to watch your teeth moving into their correct positions.
We’ll have you check in with us every six weeks or so to see how your treatment is progressing. Treatment times for adults are usually about 12 to 15 months, while treatment times for teens are comparable to that of traditional braces.
What dental issues does Invisalign correct?
What are the oral health benefits of Invisalign?
Besides removable aligners to optimize brushing and flossing, the benefits of straight teeth following Invisalign therapy are undeniable.
Simply put, straight teeth are healthier teeth.
When teeth are aligned, and your bite is on point, this helps prevent more even chewing. Level chewing means less wear and erosion on teeth, which may lead to breakage, cavities, dental emergencies, and tooth loss.
Also, straight teeth are easier to clean and floss effectively!
What is the difference between Invisalign and ClearCorrect?
What is Six Month Smiles?
Are you getting ready for a reunion or wedding and want to tweak your smile so that you look your best? Six Month Smiles clear braces are affordable, easy to wear, and barely noticeable. Best of all, they can help you achieve a beautiful smile transformation quickly, often in as little as six months.
You may wonder how they can work so fast, but the secret is that Six Month Smiles clear braces are designed to fix only the teeth that are visible when you smile. Since we are more concerned with aesthetics than fixing serious misalignment problems, treatment times are shorter than with other types of orthodontics.
Will I have to wear a retainer following orthodontic therapy?
Retainers are a way of training your teeth to stay in their new positions. Retainers are clear and customized just for you!
A retainer is just a way of protecting your investment and preserving your new smile.
Will my insurance cover orthodontics?
Some insurance plans do cover it. If you’re unsure, either you or a member of our team can check your dental benefits with your provider to learn what coverage you have for orthodontic procedures.
Additionally, Old Settlers Dental accepts a wide range of insurance plans, and our team are experts when it comes to maximizing your dental benefits to help you get the therapies you want or need.
