We’ve been coming here for about seven years. Staff is always polite and professional. My kids look forward to going to the dentist, yup, it’s true. We moved and I’m willing to make the 30min+ drive to come here.

Root Canals in Round Rock, TX

A root canal is a procedure that can help save an infected or abscessed tooth from extraction. Unfortunately, root canals have a poor reputation, which prevents many people from seeking treatment when they need it.

The team at Old Settlers Dental wants you to know that we understand the anxiety that surrounds root canals. But it’s not necessary to feel overwhelmed about the procedure – at our Round Rock, TX dental office, root canals are comfortable and conservative.

Your Comfort Is Important to Us

If you’re a patient of Dr. John Zavala and Dr. Lewcock, you have the confidence of knowing that both dentists have the training and expertise to perform root canals as comfortably and efficiently as possible. Your comfort and well-being are our priorities, and you can count on our caring dental team to support you and provide what you need to have the most stress-free root canal possible.

Before we start the root canal procedure, our dentists will administer a local anesthetic to numb the area of your mouth that we’re treating so you won’t feel anything. If you’re very anxious or just want to be as relaxed as possible, we also offer sedation dentistry at our Round Rock, TX dental office.

You may never love the idea of getting a root canal, but it’s an essential procedure we need to perform to save a dying tooth. Tell us what you need to be comfortable, and we’ll accommodate you!

The Importance of Root Canal Treatment

The root canal is located inside your tooth, and it contains pulp, nerves, and more. If you have a tooth cavity and don’t get treatment, decay can penetrate this canal, causing sensitivity and pain.

At this point, a root canal is our only option for eliminating any infection and keeping your tooth intact. After we clear away the infection, we close off and provide a filling for the tooth. If the infection compromises your tooth, we may recommend a dental crown instead of a filling.

Caring, Compassionate Treatment

At Old Settlers Dental, we put your needs and your comfort first. Dr. Zavala and Dr. Lewcock are happy to take all the time you need and explain how the procedure works and what you can expect.

Our goal is to provide the services and procedures you need to maintain excellent oral health. Delaying a root canal because of anxiety puts you at increased risk of losing the infected tooth. That is a situation we want to avoid!

If you are already in distress, we will make every effort to get you in for treatment as soon as possible at our Round Rock dental office. Please contact us for more information or to arrange a convenient appointment.
