Reina Acosta
I happily married my high school sweetheart and we have two children, 8 and 5 years old. I am from Odessa, Texas and I attended the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in Odessa. I moved to Pflugerville in 2001 and stated my career in the dental field in Austin. I have been successful in my life due to my savior Jesus Christ and the continued love and support I have from family and friends. I have attended Celebration Church for the past 5 years and love the experience and impact it has had in my life. In my spare time I love to play softball and love to watch football and boxing. My motto in life is “The secret to success is to love what you do.” One important goal in my life is to always humble myself and always thank God for my continuous blessings and my wonderful life!
Giselle Roy
My wonderful husband and I will celebrate our 30th anniversary in August 2009. We have two beautiful daughters, Julie and Hayley. I was born and raised in Eastern Canada. I am bilingual, fluent in French and English. We moved to the United States in 1997. I enjoy outdoor activities, traveling and reading a good book.
I have over 30 years of experience in the medical and dental fields. I joined Old Settlers Dental in March 2009. I am very happy to be part of this extremely professional team.

Hilda Del Castillo
I was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. I have two great daughters and a wonderful husband. We have been married for a long, long time. I have 20 years experience in the dental field. I consider myself lucky and proud to be working with Dr. Zavala and staff. I’m grateful that Dr. Zavala gave me and opportunity to learn all this new technology in the dental field. I enjoy my job and hope to stay at this office for a long time.
Jamie Cruz
I was born and raised in Lake Jackson, Texas. In 2000, I moved to Waco and attended Texas State Technical College where I received my certificate as a Registered Dental Assistant. In 2003, I moved to Austin to pursue my career as a dental assistant. When I’m not working, I love spending time with family and friends, listening to live music, dancing, fishing and running. In my spare time, I also enjoy volunteering at the Manos De Cristo dental clinic in South Austin. At the end of every day, I thank my family for their love and support throughout my success in life.
Dental Hygienists
Deanna Culver
I grew up in South Texas and graduated from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi with my dental hygiene degree. I have been practicing hygiene for over ten years. I have two fantastic sons, Derek and Devin, who keep me very busy with various sports. I enjoy volunteering at church and charity dental clinics. In my spare time, I like to watch college football, exercise and read. I love being part of Dr. Zavala’s team!
Christine Cherry
I am a native of West Palm Beach, FL with over 16 years of dental experience. I received my Associates degree in Dental Hygiene from Midlands Technical College at Columbia, South Carolina in 2001. In my off time, I enjoy running, yoga, and spending time with my family. I am married to Michael, who serves as a U.S. Army officer at Fort Hood, Texas and we have a 4 year old daughter named Anna.
